Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Spiti 4x4 Snow Expedition safe in winter?

Safety is our top priority. The expedition is conducted using specialized 4x4 vehicles with experienced drivers who are experts in navigating snow and icy terrain. We carry support vehicles, medical kits, and emergency oxygen cylinders.

What kind of accommodation is provided?

Accommodation will be in hotels and guesthouses/homestays, which are chosen for their safety, warmth, and hospitality. Given the remote locations, these are generally basic but comfortable and authentic high-altitude stays.

Is there a lot of trekking or walking involved?

This is primarily a 4x4 road expedition, not a trek. Walking is limited to local sightseeing in villages like Komic, Hikkim, Langza, and visits to monasteries like Dhankar and Tabo. These walks are usually short and optional.

What is the typical group size?

We target a maximum group size of 40 people to ensure personalized attention and efficient logistics. Groups are divided among multiple 4x4 vehicles.
